Mrs. Golda Nance Cook, 77, of Ernest Cook Road, died Saturday, February 27 at Lexington Health Care after an illness of three years.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 2 at Higher Ground Baptist Church, by Pastor Roger Mills. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the funeral service at the Church.
Mrs. Cook was born March 27, 1932 in Randolph County to Thomas Phillip Nance and Maggie Bell Hinson Nance. She retired from the Jolene Nursing Home in Salisbury and was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. Her daughter, Debra Rich, and three brothers, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, John Conrad Cook of the home; her son, Jody Austin Holloman, and wife, Traci, of China Grove; her daughters, Brenda Mae Berrier, and husband, Gabby, of Linwood, and Cynthia Hill and husband, Tony, of Sofia; her step-son, John Mark Cook of Lexington; her step-daughter, Glenda Dawn Catlin of Lexington; her sisters, Martha Arrington of Franklinville and Helen Lindley of Asheboro; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
