Grace "Dixie" Armenta Yarbrough

Grace (Dixie) Craver Yarbrough, 97, passed away September 15, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Davidson County. She was the oldest and only surviving daughter of Carrie Shoaf Craver and Julius Edgar Craver, also of Davidson County. Dixie was married for 57 years to the late Joseph William Yarbrough.

She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Yarbrough Iuele, and son-in-law, James George Iuele of Bedford, Texas (formerly of Winston-Salem, NC.), Renae Craver Bailey, of Welcome, NC, a great niece, and her husband, Larry, daughters Heather and Hanna, spent many happy times visiting her over the years.  Renae planned and organized Dixie’s 97th birthday party. Her nephew, Aaron Newlander, of Charlotte, NC, also visited her often and loved singing along with Dixie, accompanying him on the piano.

Dixie was a lifelong member of Enterprise Moravian Church.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the church cemetery.  Memorials can be made in her name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Enterprise Moravian Church Graveyard Fund, or other charity of your choice.
