Grace Ramey Smith

Mrs. Grace Ramey Smith, formerly of Lexington, died Monday morning (6-8-2009) at the Presbyterian Home of High Point where she had lived for 14 years.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (6-10-2009) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Ray Howell, 3rd and Rev. Tommy Wilson.   A native of Mountain Rest, Oconee County, South Carolina, she was born John Nelson Ramey and Emily Nora Freeman Ramey.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Smith, a son in law, Walter Worth Hendrix, Jr. and eight brothers and sisters.   She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Smith Hendrix of Greensboro; one granddaughter, Anna Hendrix Caton and husband David Allen Caton of Greensboro; and one sister Ina Ramey McGee of Mississippi.   The family will receive after the graveside service on Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 436, Lexington, NC  27293   Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington is serving the family of Mrs. Smith.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
