Gracie Evanell Watkins Hill

Gracie Evanell Watkins Hill, 93 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Accordius Health in Lexington.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 12 ^th at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington with Rev. Glenn Gunter officiating.  Covid restrictions of social distancing and wearing a mask will be followed.

Ms. Hill was born on September 16, 1927 in Bryson City, NC to William Charlie Watkins and Hattie Stanford Watkins.  She was a seamstress and attended Southside Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Dillard Watkins; sisters Bertha Davis, Barbara Gunter, Maggie Gragg, Tincy Bailey and Tootsie King.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Dillard “Buster” Cochran (Judy) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jonathan Cochran (Amanda), Marty Smith (Kim), Lynn Cochran; three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Noah Smith and Rylee Cochran.
