Grady Allen Butler

Grady Allen Butler, 94, of Myers Park Drive, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the home of his son. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2014, at Second Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites. He was preceded in death by his wife Gracie Myers Butler and his parents.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Mr. Butler was born March 1, 1920 in Davidson County to Lee Butler and Lela Rebecca Potts Butler. He was a member of the Central Carolina Civitans and North Carolina Wood Turner Association.  Surviving are three sons; Johnny Butler and wife Clara of Lexington, Michael Butler and wife Suki of Athens Georgia, and Ken Butler and wife Ruth-Ann of Duluth Georgia, and six grandchildren; Jesse Butler, Allen Butler, Monica Butler Lord, Rebecca Butler Stewart. Sarah Butler Smith, and Thomas Butler.  Memorials may be sent to donor’s choice.
