Grady Edward Gobble, 66, of Helen Young Road, died Monday, March 03, 2008, at his home following an illness of several years.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Leonard Road Baptist Church by the Revs. Tommy Hepler and Ken Deal. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Gobble was born February 1, 1942, in Davidson County to Elijah James Gobble and Eva Eller Gobble. He was a farmer with Beall Gray Farms. Mr. Gobble was married to Lynda Carol Hepler Goble who survives of the home.
Also surviving are sons, Neil Gobble and companion, Shellie Leigty, of the home, and Scott Gobble and wife, Wanda, of Lexington; daughter, Lisa Baker and husband, Fred Jr., of Denton; grandchildren, Rebecca Gobble of Lexington, Casey Baker, Justin Baker, both of Winston-Salem, Niki Gobble, Christopher Gobble, both of Southmont, and Shelly Baker of Denton; three step grandchildren; brothers, John M. Gobble and wife, Betty, of Denton, and Lesley N. Gobble of Lexington; and sisters, Frances Dillon and husband, Bobby, Bonnie Deal and husband, Ken, all of Lexington, and Sandra Hunt and husband, Paul, of Thomasville.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
