Graham Lanning Tetter, 89, of Rowe Road, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Hinkle Hospice House following declining health since June.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Sheila Bishop and Charlie Patrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Tetter was born February 1, 1922, in Davidson County to John Tetter and Maude Lanning Tetter. He was retired from United Furniture after 42 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Benny Tetter; daughter, Rebecca Tetter; grandson, Jeff Tetter; brothers, Terry, Ivy, Charles, Odell, and Howard Tetter; and sisters, Mary Tetter and Irene Lopp.
Surviving are his wife, of 65 years, Mary Margaret Lanning Tetter; daughter, Sandy Easter and husband, Tony; daughter-in-law, Pat Tetter; grandchildren, Jennifer Norman and husband, Brian, Kelly Easter, all of Lexington, David Tetter and wife, Athena, of Wilmington, and Pam Tetter of Asheville; great-grandchildren, Cierra Bates, Alyson Tetter, Blair Norman, and Landon Norman; and a brother, Ray Tetter of Lexington.
