Gray Connor Sutphin, 61, passed away on December 4th, 2025 in Forsyth County. Born on March 23rd, 1964, he was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and the beloved son of the late Tommy Gray Sutphin and Carolyn Ann Gilley.

Gray was a man who found his joy in the great outdoors. Whether watching races, camping under the stars, grilling alongside family, or relaxing at his favorite beaches, he embraced every moment spent in nature. A devoted family man, he cherished his grandchildren deeply and treasured every bit of time he shared with them.

Known for his strong work ethic and generous heart, Gray was skilled in working on cars and was always ready with thoughtful advice for anyone who needed it. He loved to tell jokes and share stories, bringing laughter and light to those around him. His selflessness was evident in the way he put others before himself, offering help without hesitation.

Gray is survived by his daughter, Heather Fritz (Bill Howell); his grandchildren, Conor, Logan, and Bobbie; several cousins; and Todd Gilley (Tammy) and their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Leighanne Garner; and his cousin, Jimmy Vaden.

The family will honor Gray’s life with a private celebration, cherishing the memories and moments that made him so dearly loved.
