Gregory Scott Young

Gregory Scott Young, 51, of Astoria Court, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Bitterman officiating, with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday and at other times at the home of his son Sollie, 1988 Michael Road, Lexington. Mr. Young was born May 15, 1961, in Davidson County, to Donald Ray Young and Betty Hayes Milam Young. He was a former Quality Control Coordinator at Summer Industries and of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are sons, Gregory Solomon “Sollie” Young and fiancé, Emilee and Ryan Matthew “Matt” Young and fiancé, Erica, all of Lexington; grandson, Grayson Solomon Young; and his mother, Betty Hayes Milam of Welcome; beloved companion, Buddy; a cousin whom he considered his brother, Mike Biaso and wife Chris and children Christy, Melanie and Tommy.
