Griffin Owens

Griffin Alexander Owens, 10, of Giles Road, died June 27, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be Sunday July 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Giles Rd. Griffin was born April 15, 2002, in Davidson County, to Rondall Lee Owens and Allison Watkins Owens. He was a student at Churchland Elementary School where he was a straight A student. He enjoyed playing video games such as Pokémon, making videos and his dreams of being an inventor and going to Hollywood and being a movie producer. He was a member of Cub Scouts Pack 232. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dalford Dean Owens Sr. Surviving in addition to his parents of the home are his brother, Hayden Owens of the home; sister, Olivia Owens of the home; and grandparents, Geraldine “Gerry” Phillips Owens and Elmer Eugene “Gene” and Alice Kepley Watkins, all of Lexington.
