Grimes Conrad

Grimes Conrad, age 87 of Nat Conrad Road, Lexington passed away Saturday evening (12-13-2008) in Thomasville Medical Center. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday (12-16-2008) at Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor John Mocko and Rev. Butch Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery. Mr. Conrad was born in Davidson County, September 28, 1921 to Nathaniel Green Conrad and Etta Grimes Conrad. He was a retired Dairy and Tobacco Farmer, member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church and a retired member of Holly Grove Fire Department. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II in England and France. He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel Hoover Conrad, son Anthony (Tony) Conrad, brothers, Glenn and Ralph Conrad and sisters Lola Conrad Russell and Ollie Conrad Leonard. Surviving are: son, Wayne Conrad and wife Stacy of Lexington; four grandchildren, Lindsay Conrad, Kevin Conrad and wife Holly, Anthony Conrad and Cassie Conrad; daughter in law Kathy Ball Conrad of Lexington. The family will receive friends at the home 466 Nat Conrad Road, Lexington.
