H. C. Weaver

H.C. Weaver, 81, of 722 Old Pasture Road, Linwood, NC went to be with the Lord Friday, June 24, 2011, at his home where he was surrounded by family and friends. Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday June 27, at Smith Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Terry Smith and Ray Hooper. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Sunday June 26, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home. Mr. Weaver was born August 28, 1929, to Lizzie James Weaver and Henry Weaver. He was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. H.C. had a passion for farming, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and a “Pop” to many. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Beavann Weaver and brother Homer Weaver. Surviving are his wife Evadean Weaver, of the home; one sister, Ruby Goforth, brother Tommy Weaver and wife Carolyn; three sons, Bobby Weaver and wife Brenda, Kenneth Weaver and wife Barbara, and David Weaver and wife Pam, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Lori and Scott Milam, Kevin Weaver, Jessica Rabon, Johnathan and Stacy Weaver, David (Buzzy) and Dori Weaver, and Brandon Weaver; ten great grandchildren, Krysta Sink, Nathaniel Rabon, Brice Weaver, Brittny Gibson, Randi Gibson, Bret Milam, Tyler Milam, Ashe Weaver, Mariah Linney, and Jayden Linney; and one great great grandson, Gauge Goforth. Special friends Helen Marsh, Patty Johnson, Milas Hooper, Darlene Hill, Bobby Miller, Mary Lambeth, and Leroy Pickler.
