Harold Glenn Burkhart

Harold Glenn Burkhart, 70 of Adams Street, Lexington died Sunday August 30, 2009 at 12:00 Noon. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Revs. Jerry Moore and Don Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Burkhart was born in Davidson County on August 4, 1934 to Glenn Wilson Burkhart and Regina Walker Burkhart. He was retired from Second United Church of Christ and served in the US Army. He was a member of Amvet Post 13, VFW Post 8 and American Legion Post 3074. His wife, Helen Eupherzine Thomason Burkhart preceded him in death on June 11, 2006. Surviving are son David Burkhart of the home, daughters, Glenda Boyles and husband Mark Randall of Lexington, 2 grandchidlren, Carleigh Boyles and Caitlin Boyles, brother Paul Burkhart and wife Barbara of Advance and sisters, Rachel Layton and husband Don and Jane Burkhart and husband Joe all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Glenda Boyles, 1003 Fairview Drive.
