Harold “Butch” Lopp, Jr., age 63, passed away Sunday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Herring officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Lopp was born August 8, 1949, in Davidson County, to Harold Edward Lopp Sr. and Annie Smith Stanley. He was a machinist for F&G Moulding in Salisbury. Mr. Lopp had also proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-father, Garland Stanley; a sister, Nellie Ann Lopp; niece, Kimberly Parker; and brother-in-law, Vernon Prescott.
Surviving are his mother of Christmas, Florida; loving companion of 35 years, Becky Michael; brothers, Kelly Lopp and wife Missy of Lexington, and Marty Lopp of Florida; sister, Angie Parker of Sanford, Fl.; nephew, Brandon Lopp; nieces, Brooke Lopp, Camille Parker, and Sharon Parker; great-niece, Destiny Pryer.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
