Harold Gene Chakona

Harold Gene Chakona Sr., 74, of Winston Salem passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Mr. Chakona was born September 29, 1947, in Forsyth County to Samuel Andrew Chakona and Opal Elizabeth Nichols Chakona. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Christina Chakona; and one brother, Samuel “Sammy” Steven Chakona.

Surviving is his wife, Claudette Chakona of the home; one son, “Scooter” Harold Chakona Jr. of Massachusetts; one daughter, Kim Jessie of Calabash; one brother, Aubrey Chakona (Joann) of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren, Dalton and Christopher.
