Harold Ray Edwards Sr., 84, of Winston Salem, passed away Monday February 21, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
A celebration of his life will be at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Faith Church of Midway where he was a member, with Pastor Michael Gates conducting the service, and burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the sanctuary.
Harold was born July 29, 1938, in Guilford County, to Woodrow Wilson Edwards and Grace Lee Bladlock Edwards. Was a self employed carpenter. His passion was his faith, family especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all, and was a veteran having served in the US Navy, was a member of the Eastern Star and a Mason. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his loving wife, Betty Lou Johnson Edwards who died July 1, 2021, daughter-in-law, Tamara Hunt Edwards who died January 6, 2021.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons. Chip Edwards and wife Keryl of Winston Salem; Brian Edwards of Lexington; three grandchildren, Brandon Edwards, Cameron Edwards, Calab Edwards, and one special great-granddaughter, Lorelei Edwards.
