Harold Osborne

Harold Keith Osborne, 79, of Kildee Drive in Lexington died Friday, June 14, 2013 at The Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Al Goff and Tom Nussbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Osborne was born September 7, 1933 in Norton Virginia to Walter Benjamin Osborne Sr. and Delphia Maddux Osborne. Harold was a graduate of East Tenn. State University, Johnson City Tenn. He previously was a teacher in Virginia and Rowan County School systems. He served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of VFW Post 3074. Harold had worked for many area furniture companies before starting a custom cabinet shop, Davidson Cabinets. He was a member of a non-denominational church. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bruce, Walter Benjamin Jr., Fred, Tom, George, and Ronald and an infant sister, Mary Ellen. He is survivied by his wife Elizabeth (Betty Kerr) Hall Osborne of the home, a daughter Tracey Osborne Comer(Michael) and grand daughter Elizabeth Alexander Comer of Greensboro, North Carolina, sisters Ruth Franklin (Woodrow) of Knoxville Tenn., Nell Culver (Carl) Freeta Campbell(Jack) and Patrica Wininger (Eddie) all of Kingsport Tenn. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Cancer Center of Davidson County, as well as the caring and compassionate staff of Hospice of Davidson County. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or the donor’s choice.
