Harold Van Oshields

Harold Van Oshields 75 formerly of Candlewood Drive passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Abbotts Creek Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Harold was born in Pickens, SC on September 9, 1938 to George Washington Oshields and Dessie Brezeale Oshields. He had worked several years at Goodwill Industries and Duke Power, served in the US Army and Airforce. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Vanessa Hege and Patricia Camper. Surviving is his wife Helen Keith Oshields of the home; daughter, Kathy Hill of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Fred M. Oshields (Betty) of Liberty, SC, Bobby O’sheal (Joan) of Seneca, SC, Paul Oshields of Lawrenceville, GA; four sisters, Jean Stegall (Paul), Grace Dickard (Lloyd), Martha Bates all of Greenville, SC and Juanita Dancy of Jefferson, NC; grandchildren, Chad Hill, Heather Hill, Amanda Parrish; great-grandchildren, Rylea Rufus, Ava Claire Rufus, Ryker Reimers, Addie Parrish, Max Parrish, Sam Parrish; several nieces and nephews. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
