Harold Glenn Punturi

Harold Glenn Punturi Sr., 69, of Robert Beck Road, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at Lexington Memorial Hospital following an illness of one year. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Darrell Cartrette. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Punturi was born July 28, 1940, in Mercer County, W.Va., to Gigo Punturi and Thelma Hall Punturi. Mr. Punturi served in the U.S. Air Force and was self-employed servicing heating and air conditioning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Shrader and Mary Lee Petty. Surviving are his son, Glenn Punturi of Lexington; a daughter, Glenna Punturi of Lexington; three grandchildren, Matthew Glenn Punturi, Bradley Green Cooper and Christin Nichole Punturi; and his former wife, Betty Myers Green of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
