Harold Loyd Walden, 87, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Hospice of Davidson County. Inurnment will take place 10 am Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Salisbury National Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Sink officiating. Mr. Walden was born November 29, 1934, in Northboro, IA, to Angus Rucker Walden and Thelma Lavada Walters Walden. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Pinedale Christian Church where he enjoyed serving the Lord. Harold found enjoyment in many things such as working in his yard, running, traveling, fishing, and hunting, visiting the beach, swimming but mostly spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren always put a smile on his face. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, John, and Delbert Walden. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Ann Decker Walden of the home; sons, Mike Walden of Lexington, Roger Walden (Sandy) of Clemmons, Mark Walden (Christine) of Virginia; daughters, Janet Hudgens (Lee) of Greensboro, Diane Walden (Daniel) of Lexington; sister, Charlene Lungren of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; Bridget, Scott, Anabelle, Wesley, Emmylou, Jake, Brock, Morgan, Nicolas, Matthew, Lucas, Lily, Lena and 4 great-grandchildren; Brody, Tessa, Hank and Poppy.
