Harriet Zimmerman

Harriet Jones Zimmerman, 75, of Hillcrest Drive, died Tuesday, November 30 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House after a period of declining health. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Lexington on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Zimmerman was born June 1, 1946 in Durham to Thomas Decatur Jones III and Eloise Poe Jones. She attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Her husband, H.W. “Butch” Zimmerman, Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Findling Zimmerman of Charlotte and Amanda Zimmerman Fulton and husband Chris Lexington; step-son H.W. “Trey” Zimmerman III and wife Maria; and grandchildren Webb, Caroline and Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society of Davidson County.
