Harry Lee Everhart

Our beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning March 29, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April l, 2009 at Immanuel – New Eden Moravian Church with the Rev. Walter C. Bishop and Rev. Robert Peek, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Harry Lee Everhart was born February 27, 1933 in Forsyth County to Avory and Mamie Yountz Everhart. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Everhart is survived by his wife of 57 years Violet Rose Zimmerman Everhart of the home; three sons, Richard Everhart and his fiance Elaine Gainer of Lexington, Jimmy Everhart and his wife Terri of Winston-Salem and Troy Everhart and his wife Donna of Bloomington, Ill. One daughter Donna Franklin and her husband Butch of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Otis Everhart and Thurmond Everhart and one sister, Lucille Zimmerman all of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Amy Routh, Randy Franklin, Joshua Everhart, Roxann Moore, Lora Thomas and Jake Vandegraft; four great-grandchildren, Christian Whittington, Taylor Moore , Lillie Franklin and Makayla Thomas and god grandchild, Richard Bucknall. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center – Winston-Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Special thanks to Dr. David Smull and Dr. Mark Maier and staff. Dad, you will always be greatly missed and in our hearts. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
