Harvey Hickman

Harvey Charles Hickman, 70, of Linwood Southmont Road, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at his home following an extended illness. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Hickman was born February 6, 1941, in Davidson County, to Addie Hickman and Bertha Elizabeth Blackwell Hickman. He was retired equipment operator from Barnhill Construction. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Ivey Hickman, who died April 19, 2010. Surviving are sons, Charles Wayne Hickman and wife, Nancy, of Yadkinville, and Danny Brewer and wife, Cynthia, of Lexington; daughters, Carolyn Anderson and Diane Afetian, both of Lexington; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Davis of High Point and Lucille Lemley of Lexington.
