Harvey Kenneth Tussey, Jr.

Harvey Kenneth Tussey Jr. age 80 of Lexington passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at his home.

A private funeral service will be held at Beulah United Church of Christ conducted by Rev. Misty Polston York and live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome starting at 2:00 pm Wednesday. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those that are attending are asked to practice social distancing and to wear a face mask. A public graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 2-4 pm at Davidson Funeral Home and the family will see friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday night at his store on Arnold Road and other times at the home.

Mr. Tussey was born December 24, 1939 in Davidson County to Harvey Kenneth Tussey Sr. and Virginia Wagner Tussey. He was a member of Beulah United Church of Christ and owned and operated Ken Tussey Service Station, where he enjoyed seeing his many customers since 1946.  He served his country in The Army National Guard.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ann Koontz Tussey and a brother Arthur Tussey.

Surviving are two sons, Curt Koontz (Trisha) of Tenn., Terry Koontz of Lexington, two daughters, Tracy Koontz Hoover and Ava Palmer (Danny) all of Lexington. Seven grandchildren, Olivia and Tyler Koontz, Will and Drew Hoover, Sam and Alex Keith, Jessie Murphy, and six great grandchildren and a sister, Kay Gandy (R. L.) of Lexington.
