Hazel "Billie" Pauline Venable

Hazel “Billie” Harris Venable, age 87 of Green Hill Apartments, Lexington passed away Friday morning, June 10, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 13, 2016 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Hepler officiating and burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 prior to the graveside service. Hazel was born December 22, 1928 to Leonza and Mary Peacock Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Leonard Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Junior Venable; daughter, Gail Woodard; sons, Eddie Dwayne Venable and Jimmy Gobble; sisters, Juanita Carpenter, Betty Lou Everhart and Pet Leonard. Surviving are a son, Lawrence (Mike) Venable and wife Cindy of Lexington; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren
