Hazel Freedle

Hazel Fay Sherlin Freedle, 73, of Hoover Road, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. The funeral will be at 4 P.M. Wednesday at Beulah United Church of Christ, where she was a member by the Rev. Benn Fleming. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Freedle was born in McDowell County on November 13, 1933, to Marion Cornelius Sherlin and Emma Aletha Sherlin. She was a retired employee of Indiana Moulding. Mrs. Freedle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Raymond Freedle; brothers, Jesse Marion Sherlin, and Edward Sherlin; and sisters, Georgia Lee Poteat and Carma Honeycutt. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth Wayne Poteat of Marion and David Isaac of Maryland; a daughter, Brenda James of Reedy Creek; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Church of Christ, 2828 Arnold Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
