Hazel Sink

April 15, 1917 — February 5, 2013

Hazel Koontz Sink, 95, of Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation, formerly of Conrad Street, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Abbotts Creek. A funeral will be at noon Saturday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Craig Saltzer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Sink was born April 15, 1917, in Davidson County to David Luther Koontz and Dica Evans Koontz. She was retired from Parkdale Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Druid Odell Sink; brother Boyd Koontz; and sisters Agnes Miller, Pauline Lanier, Naomi Shoaf and Allie Veigh Hartley. Surviving are her son, Druid Wayne Sink of Lexington; four grandchildren, Robin Sink of High Point and Ronald Sink and wife Margaret, Martha Lineback and Chad Sink, all of Lexington; eight great-grandchildren, Brent Lineback, Kendra Barker, Justin Sink, Geoffery Sink, Aimee Sink, Caleb Sink, Haley LeBeau and Landon LeBeau; and three great-great-grandchildren, Carter Lineback, Brayden Barker and Reilly Sink. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 823 Ridge Road, Lexington, NC 27295. The family would like to extend special thanks to Abbotts Creek Care for all the love and care shown to Hazel and her family.
