Hazel Marie Varner Sneed

Hazel Marie Varner Sneed, 85, of Lexington, passed away November 8, 2023, at Abbotts Creek Rehab in Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 am Monday November 13, 2023, at Linwood United Methodist Church Cemetery, where she was a member, with the Rev. Cindy Ramirez officiating.

Mrs. Sneed was born Oct. 10, 1938, in Montgomery County, to Wilton Varner and Minnie Todd Varner. Hazel was a devoted member of Linwood United Methodist Church, was a homemaker. Her passion was her faith, church, family. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Albert Sneed.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Thomas Atkinson (Kim) of Elizabethtown, Mack Finch Jr., and Gary Finch both of Durham, daughter, Rosemary Dugdale (Joe) of Leland, SC, stepdaughters, Vickie Brown (Randy) and Tina Lanier (Mike) both of Lexington, brother, Jr. Varner of Candor, sisters, Lois Varner of Candor, Jean Duboise of Troy, also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
