Helen Linville Beavers, age 80 of Lexington Health Care, formerly of East 10th Avenue, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning at Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday (9-11-2009) at Second Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Kurt W. Johnston and Rev. Bill Sosebee officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Helen was born in Guilford County, November 8, 1928 to Julius Saunders Linville and Nettie Lithicum Linville. She was a retired employee of Stanley Furniture and a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Capus Mabe and Harold Beavers, a brother, John Saunders Linville.
Surviving are: daughter, Betty Lookabill and husband Pete of Winston Salem; four sons,
Bobby Mabe and wife Helen of Greensboro, Ronnie E. Mabe and Sandy Mabe both of Lexington and Garry Mabe of Kernersville; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gladys Tilley of Madison, Martha Suits and Ann Gleason both of Greensboro, and Jean Rushing of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday night at Davidson Funeral Home.
