Helen Torrence Craven

Helen (Scottie) Torrence Craven age 57 passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her home. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at Faith Temple Church with Pastor Travis Moses and Bishop Bob Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Scottie was born August 25, 1954 in Davidson County to Fred Torrence and Edith Jenkins Torrence. She was owner operator of Choppers Barber Shop in Kernersville. A member of Faith Temple Church, she was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband John (Greg) Craven of the home; her mother Edith; one daughter, Tiffany Craven Smith and husband Clayton; two brothers, Buddy Torrence and wife Vickie and Robert Torrence all of Lexington; one sister, Jean Norris and husband Ray of Linwood; and one grandson, Clay Remington Smith.
