Helen Swing Fritts, 94, of Brookhill Drive passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her home.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Moore. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
There will be no public visitation.
Mrs. Fritts was born in Davidson County on Dec. 5, 1915, to Theodore A. Swing and Daisy Mae Harrison Swing. She was a retired employee of Young Hinkle Furniture and a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James (Jack) Fritts on Feb. 5, 1970; sisters, Mary Louise Davis and Gladys Harper; and three brothers, Clarence, J.C. and Olin Swing.
Surviving are one daughter, Holly Shipwash and husband Skip of Lexington; one son, Ronald Tinsley Fritts of Atlanta; one granddaughter, Amanda Hedrick Garren and husband Troy; great-granddaughter, Jada Garren; and sisters, Esther Freeman of Lexington and Ethel Smith of Yadkinville.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Davidson County, especially Lisa, Megan and Fiona for their help, support and kindness. Also, Rev. Jerry Moore for comforting her and making her smile one last time.
