Helen Inez Sutton Hensley

Helen Inez Sutton Hensley 62 of S. County Home Rd., Lexington died Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Forsyth Medical Center, after a brief illness. A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Jeff, 202 Arbor Dr., Lexington. Mrs. Hensley was born November 28, 1948 in Bryson City to George Washington Sutton and Julia Lowe Sutton. She was a member of Amazing Grace Church and a retired manager with ACE Hardware at Bermuda Run. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, James (Jim) Hensely of the home; two sons, Jeff Hensley and wife, Jane, Neil Hensley and wife, Crystal both of Lexington; three daughters, Sally Mitchell and husband, Lonnie, Crystal McGath and husband, Jay, both of Lexington; Angie Hendrix and husband, Ronnie, of Advance, NC; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Sutton of Hickory, NC, Larry Sutton, Ernie Sutton, both of Lexington; and a sister, Chris Craver of Lexington.
