Helen Wade Mcglohon

Helen Wade McGlohon, age 93 of Hickory Point Drive, Lexington passed away Friday morning (Sept. 30, 2011) at Hinkle Hospice House.  Memorial service 3:00 pm Saturday (October 8, 2011) at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Armfield officiating. A burial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Grifton, NC.   Mrs. McGlohon was born in Spartanburg County, SC September 12, 1918 to Ralph William Wade and Pearl Dudley Wade.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen Tucker McGlohon and a daughter, Nell Wade Jackson.   Surviving are her daughters, Jo Ann Brown and husband Ray of Lexington; Gloria LePors and husband Michael of Chattanooga, TN; 8 Grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Wade Jones of Fayetteville, NC.
