Helen Morris

Helen Estelle Holsonback Morris, age 87, of Lexington passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home.   A funeral service will be held at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mauesoleum Chapel at 11:00 am on Monday, February 12, 2018 with Pastor Gavin Pratt and Rev. Dr. Bob Floyd officiating.   The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter, Cathy Martin.   Mrs. Morris was born in Aiken, SC on February 7, 1931 to James Edward Holsonback and Cynthia New Holsonback. She was retired from Frank Ix, having worked as a line worker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Franklin Morris. Surviving are her son, Buddy Morris of Lexington; three daughers, Cathy Martin, Teresa Hepler (Charlie), and Kendra King all of Lexington; a sister in law, Mary Whitehurst of Tarboro; eight grandchildren, Suzette Walp (William III), Tina James, Jonathan Martin and companion Heather Hail, Amber Thigpen, Anthony Thigpen, David Morris, Steven Morris, and Daphne Morris; and fourteen great-grandchildren.   Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont at 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262.
