Helen Florene Swicegood

Helen Florene Swicegood, of Brookstone Retirement Center, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Hinkle Hospice House, following several years of declining health. There will be no formal services. Ms. Swicegood was born July 16, 1931, in Davidson County, to Woodson Swicegood and Afton Williams Swicegood. She was a member and retired secretary of Jersey Baptist Church and a member of the Goldwing Retreads. Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Ruth Lail and Patsy Prince and husband, Gary, all of Lexington; three grandchildren, Terry Lee Sink Jr., Michelle Meredith, and Kristin Foushee; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Hartley and husband, Thomas, Lois Snider and Daphne Church, all of Lexington; sister-in-law, Frances Myers of Lexington; brother-in-law, Carlton Brinson of Thomasville; and special friend, Debra Randall of Lexington.
