Henry Wilburn Fox

Henry Wilburn Fox, 74, of James Street, died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrews United Church of Christ by the Rev. Jake Sharpe and the Rev. Don Eisinger. Entombment will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens in Statesville. Mr. Fox was born May 24, 1933, in Iredell County to Dallas Fox and Katherine Hedrick Fox. He was retired after 25 years as a supervisor for the City of Statesville and was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ. Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, James Fox. Surviving are a daughter, Vickie Lusk and her husband, James, of Statesville; two grandchildren, Lisa Fraley and James Rickert III; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Gantt of Newton; and a special friend of 23 years, Peggy Leonard. The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.
