Henry Lee Grubb, 72, of Horseshoe Neck Road in Lexington passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 5 at Reeds Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held following the service.
Mr. Grubb was born in Davidson County on June 3, 1946 to Raymond Thomas Grubb and Dorothy Elizabeth Freeman Grubb. Henry was a retired mechanic for the NC Forest Service and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the NSSA, an avid skeet shooter and he loved to travel. Henry loved working with youth to learn to shoot skeet and devoted 30 years with the West Davidson Hunter Safety Education Team. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dale Lee Grubb.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryl Mize Grubb; brother, Raymond Paul Grubb of Jonesville; nieces, Hailey and Candace Mize, Jennifer Thompson (Eddie), Natalie Grubb Akashambatwa, Emma Thompson; nephews, Dawson Ray and Camron Thompson; brother-in-law, Billy Mize (Isabelle) and his beloved dog, Tinker.
