Henry Wilson Ijames, 85, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Bowers Road, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Lexington Health Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday Sept. 9, 2007 at Memorial United Church of Christ with Rev. Don Leonard officiating and burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mr. Ijames was born in Davie County, April 22, 1922 to George Franklin Ijames and Myrtle Call Ijames. He was retired President of A.O. Fouts Construction Company, member of Memorial United Church of Christ, Charter member of Central Fire Department, VFW Post 3074 and American Legion Post 8, and a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elois Fouts Ijames; brothers: William Ijames, Marvin Ijames and George Ijames; sisters: Mary Ijames Matthews and Martha Ijames Parks.
Surviving are: his daughters: Henrietta Henderlite and husband, John of Salisbury and
Beverly Williams and husband Floyd of Greensboro. Three Grandchildren; Alicia Williams, Jay Henderlite and Jordan Henderlite.
There will be no public visitation.
