Mr. Henry Myers, 83, of Goforth Lake Road, died Sunday at the Hinkle Hospice House after an extended illness.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Reeds United Methodist Church where he was a member by Rev Patrick Marion and Rev. Sherrill Morris. Burial will follow in the Reeds United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Wednesday prior to the funeral service at the Church.
Mr. Myers was born January 23, 1928 in Davidson County to William Ervin Myers and Ruth Smithdeal Myers. He was retired from Parkdale Mills and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. His brothers, Olin Myers, Kenneth Myers, Charles Myers, Homer Myers, Curtis Myers, and Fred Myers, Worth Myers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Bailey Myers of the home; his daughters, Gail Morris and husband Buster and Phyllis Bean and husband Dennis both of Lexington; his grandchildren, Beth Wood and Philip Hamilton; and his sister, Louise Myers of Lexington and a brother Jimmy Myers of Lexington
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
