Henry Wilbourne

Henry Logan Wilbourne, 77, of Lee Smith Road, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at High Point Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Ronnie Timmons. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Wilbourne was born in Halifax, Virginia, on Sept. 23, 1938, to John Oliver Wilbourne and Rosa Matthews Wilbourne. He was retired from Southland Trucking. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are his wife, Merl Stanfield Wilbourne of the home; son Arthur L. Peterson of Denton; grandchildren Chris Peterson (Lisa) and Wendy Turner (Nathan); seven great-grandchildren; and sisters Rosa Allen of Woodleaf, Alice Harris of Linwood, Mammie Regan of Timberlake, Bettie O’ha of Roxboro, Fanny Wilbourne of Charlotte and Liz Wilder of Denton.
