Herbert Hudson Beck

Herbert Hudson Beck Sr. 90, of East US Hwy 64, Lexington died Wednesday (June 29, 2011) at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday (July 1, 2011) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Greene officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday night and at other times at the home. Herbert was born in Davidson County on December 13, 1920 to George Washington Beck and Minnie Ora Burkhart Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well four brothers, George Beck, Cliffton Beck, Ledford Beck and Stacy Beck and four sisters Felita Beck, Betty Woodle, Mary Lene Perry and Hazel McAvery. Surviving are; his wife Carrie Forrest Beck of the home, one son Herbert Beck Jr. and wife Susan of Lexington; one sister Judy Leonard of Lexington; two grandchildren, Benjamin Beck and wife Rebekah of Morehead City NC and Daniel Beck of Asheboro NC. The family would like to extend a thank you to Alston Brook Nursing home and a very special thanks to the Nurses and CNA’s for their loving care to Mr. Beck.
