Herbert Norman Eliason

Herbert Norman Eliason, age 75 of Franklin Street, Lexington died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at his home. The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Friday at North Lexington Baptist Church with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Herbert was born March 31, 1939 in Hibbing, Minn to Verner E. and Laura Zaitz Eliason. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1959; he was a retired employee of RJR Tobacco Company and a member of North Lexington Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia Strickland; twin brother, Wilbert “Will” Eliason and brother, Art Eliason. Surviving are sons, Steve Eliason of Hibbing, Minn, Thomas Eliason (Diane) of New Hope, Minn; step-granddaughter who cared for him, Melissa Oldham (Robert) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jesse Eliason of Blaine, Minn, Angela Barker (Nicholas) of Brookston, Minn, Ashley Eliason of New Hope, Minn, Noel and Eli Oldham of Thomasville; great-grandchildren; Cody and Tristan Eliason and Timothy Barker; sister, Ruth Williams of Hibbing, Minn; brothers, Edward Eliason of Nixa, MO and Arnie Eliason of Huntington Beach, CA.; step daughter, Carolyn Hunt of Lexington Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
