Herbert Richenberg

Herbert John Richenberg, 74, of Lexington, N.C. and Linwood, N.Y., died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia United Methodist Church, N.C. Highway 8, in Southmont. Burial will be in New York at a later time. The family will see visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Richenberg was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Elba, N.Y., to William and Wilma Richenberg. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; special grandparents Herbert and Minnie Van Ameron; brother Harlan Richenberg; and sister Patricia Dodson. He is survived by sons Rodney (Mary), Kirk (Nancy), Eric (Toni) and Greg (Cheryl), all of New York; daughter Gina Curtis of Concord; grandchildren Joshua and Haley, Nick, Corey and Christian, Ethan and Clayton, Todd, Kierstan and Karson, Lisa, Jeremy and Stacey; four great-grandchildren; brother Howard Richenberg; sisters Elizabeth Wilcox and Carol Mon; and a special companion, Elaine Matula of Bristol, N.Y. Memorials can be made to the donor of one's choice.
