Herbert Veamon Wilson,80 of Dearr Drive, Lexington went home to be with Jesus his Heavenly Father Thursday night at High Point Regional Medical Center.
Herbert was born in Columbus County, NC February 2, 1925 to Willie Landis Wilson and Lina Fowler Wilson. He attended Church of God of Prophecy on East Center Street, a retired employee of Link Taylor Furniture Company and was preceded in death by his parents, Grand Daughter Ashley Michelle Edwards, Son In Law Jerry R. Edwards, sisters: Shirley Gerrell Suggs, Bertha Wilson Coleman, Alma Dell Gray and brother Grover Landis Wilson.
Surviving are,his wife Ruth Walton Wilson of the home; sons David Wilson wife Ronda of Lexington and Tracy Lee Wilson and wife Sharon of Linwood; daughters Edith Edwards of Trinity, Jo Ann Walser husband David of Lexington, Frances Lanier husband Charles of Trinity, Margie Dotson husband Clifford of Lexington and Patsy Swicegood husband Bobby of Jackson Springs; grandchildren Mitchell Wilson, Michael Wilson, Marcus Wilson, Jason Edwards wife Jennifer, Phillip Edwards, Charles Walser wife Tracy, Scott Walser wife Cheryl, Diebra Louya husband Nicholas, Heather Dotson, Kristi Bronson husband James, Joshua Swicegood, Brian Wilson and Jennifer Wilson; great-grandchildren Christian Scott Burris Wilson, Kaylee Edwards, Dallas, Zebulon, Lexi and Aidan Walser; brothers Javie Wilson and Rev. Rosier Wilson both of Lexington; sisters MaeBell Richardson of Lumberton, NC
The service will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Michael Johnson and Rev. Junior Ballew.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and at other times at the home.
