Hidia Amy Kepley

Hidia Amy Kepley, a beloved resident of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on Friday, August 28, 1931, in North Carolina, Hidia lived a life full of love, dedication, and hard work.

Hidia was a devoted spinner at Park Dale Mills, where she worked diligently for many years. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her dedication to her family and friends. She was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering strength, Hidia also loved sewing, cooking and cake decorating.

Hidia was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Sylvia Goins, her beloved husband, James Donald Kepley, and her dear son, Charles Kepley, also predeceased by her brothers Milton Goins, Vennie Goins, Paul Goins, Willie Goins, Duckey Goins, Sam Goins, and a sister Betty Lou Goins She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Sizemore, and her husband Joel, both of Lexington, NC., 2 sisters, Maxine Leonard, Becky Crotts, 3 grandchildren; Chad Kepley, Madison and Abigail Sizemore, 3 great-grandchildren, Xavier Teasley, Tatum Teasley and Adalynn Welch, and a host of nieces and nephews.  Hidia's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and the love she bestowed upon them.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Hidia's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 31, at Forest Hill Memorial Park officiated by Chaplain Flore. Family will receive friends in the cemetery after the service, weather allowing or at their home at 140 Arland Drive, Lexington, NC.

Hidia Amy Kepley will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
