Hilda Everhart Beam Reid, age 92 of Lexington Health Care died Saturday (5-3-2008) at Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. David Langley. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Hilda was born in Davidson County, May 5, 1915 to Clay Henry Everhart and Notie Floyd Everhart. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of United Furniture after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Ralph Beam, Sr., and Howard Eugene Reid, a son Ralph Beam, Jr. and daughter in law Sylvia Beam who died April 24, 2008. Surviving are: Son Larry Beam of Lexington, two daughters; Bettie Harper and husband LeRoy of Thomasville and Lois Carpenter and husband Ray of Lexington, six grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren two half sisters; Ruth Coffey and husband Doyle of Lenoir, NC and Nancy Everhart The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Connie Hunt, 158 Fisher Farm Road, Linwood.
