Homer J. Berrier

December 26, 1923 — November 9, 2016

Homer J. Berrier, age 92 or Becky Hill Road, Lexington passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.   A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Pastor David Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday night.   Homer was born in Davidson County, December 26, 1923 to Artis Joyce Berrier and Mary Lou Kepley Berrier. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and was a self- employed heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sudie Mae Leonard Berrier; brothers, Howard, R.J., Harold and John Berrier; great - grandson, Jesse Berrier.   Surviving are his daughters, Joyce Mae Essick (Craig) and Betty Jean Hester (David) both of Lexington; son, Paul Grady Berrier (Janie);  grandchildren, James Berrier (Anita), Michelle Young (Craig), Brad Essick (RuthAnn) and Tracy Beck (Sammie); great-grandchildren, Brittany Barnes (Ben), Brandon Berrier, Spencer Young, Eric Young (Laura), Jackson Tarleton, Riley Essick, Cassidy Craver, Hunter Beck and Colton Hedrick; great-great grandchild, Rhett Young; brother in-law, Elmer Leonard, and sister in-law, Gracie Shepherd (Roy).   A special thanks to Anita Berrier and Michelle Young for always being there to help care for Dad.   Memorials can be directed to Carolina Cancer Service, 25 W. 6th Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292.
