Hope Branon Smith

Hope Branon Smith, 84 of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living formerly of Sides Road, Winston Salem, passed away Sunday evening August 2, 2009. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Advent Moravian Church Graveyard with the Rev. Norwood Green, Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and Rev. J. Daniel Conrad officiating. Hope was born in Forsyth County July 26, 1925 to Charles Monroe Branon and Maggie Cumbie Branon. She was a homemaker and a member of Advent Moravian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are; husband, S.V. Smith of the home; one daughter, Robin Smith Denny and husband Allan of Lexington; one son, Scott Branon Smith and wife Beverly of Lexington; four grandchildren, Amanda Denny Dellinger, Blake Branon Smith, Kate Denny and Mills Smith; four great-grandchildren, Brooks Dellinger, Hadley Smith, Beau Branon Dellinger and Gentry Hope Smith; one sister Ruth Settle of Winston Salem.
