Horace Lee Flowers

Horace Lee Flowers Sr Sept. 13, 1935 - Mar. 11, 2012 Horace Lee Flowers Sr., 76, of High Point, NC passed away on Sunday March 11th at Kate B. Reynolds Home. He was born September 13, 1935 in Rockingham, NC, the son of the late Leroy and Versie Flowers. Horace, a Navy veteran, loved the ocean and obtained his Captain's license in the early 1980's. In his later years, he loved to travel and felt at home when he was in Israel. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his children Wanda Flowers Nelson, Horace Flowers Jr., Eddie Flowers, and Melinda Flowers Styers, along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other survivors include his sisters, Juanita Flowers Crocker, Marlene Flowers Bradshaw, and his brother Jimmy Flowers. A memorial service will be held, Tuesday, March, 13th at 2:00 p.m. at River Oaks Community Church with Pastor Wes Tuttle officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made be to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
