DATE LINE: Lexington, NC EDITION: Friday, March 4, 2016 HEADING NAME: Pete Tysinger Horace “Pete” Tysinger, age 76 of Friendship Church Road, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning March 2, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until 3:30 pm prior to the service. Pete was born in Davidson County November 13, 1939 to Mozell and Etta Belle Hedrick Tysinger. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and a member of Reeds Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amanda Hodge; sisters Juanita Snider and Marie Moretz; brothers, Henry and Bucky Tysinger. Surviving are his wife; June McMahan Tysinger of the home; daughters, Carla Baker (Tom) of Mocksville and Sandie Chappell (Jamie) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Matthew Burchette, Mark Everhart, Michael Sears, Randall Burchette, Andrew Baity, Torrey Chappell, Marianna Hodge and Mitchell Hodge; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Motes (Bobby) of Lexington and Mildred Leonard (Calvin) of Southmont; brothers, Darnell Tysinger (Imogene) of Silver Valley, Carroll Tysinger (Karen) of Welcome and Ronnie Tysinger (LaVerne) of Southmont.
